Sergeant Major (SGM Retired) Willie Lemons Jr, was the Equal Opportunity Advisor/Human Relations and Sexual Assault Prevention Response Sergeant Major for Third Army United States Army Central, Atlanta, Georgia from July 2006 – February 2010. He deployed to the Kuwait for 2 years, where his office provided administrative oversight of the Equal Opportunity (EO) and Sexual Assault Prevention Response programs in the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility to approximately 200,000 Soldiers, Maries, Airmen, Seamen, Civilians and Contractors. In February 2010, SGM (R) Lemons was reassigned to 377thTheater Sustainment Command, located in Belle Chasse, LA, as the Human Resource Management, Sergeant Major. His office was responsible for providing human resource oversight, management and support to approximately 40,000 Soldiers. SGM (R) Lemons retired from the United States Army, after serving over 31 years, on January 01, 2013.    

 

Sergeant Major (SGM Retired) Willie Lemons Jr, was born in Tampa, Florida, where he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He entered the United States Army on September 01, 1981, in the career field of Human Resource Management. After attending Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC, and Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN, for Advance Individual Training, SGM (R) Lemons departed en-route to his first permanent duty station, located in Schweinfurt, Germany.   Lemons is the proud father of 5 children, ranging in ages from 13 to 33.  In his spare time he enjoys reading, working out and advocating on behalf of his nonprofit: The Provenance Foundation for Self-Actualization, Inc.
